On February 26, 1897 she was united in marriage to A.P. Andersen. They made their home on a farm four miles southeast of Elk Horn until retiring and moving to Elk Horn in 1942. She was a member of the Elk Horn Lutheran church and a past member of the Ladies Aid.
Mrs Andersen died April 11 at her home. She was 88 years, and six months of age.
Surviving is her daughter, Bertha, with whom she made her home, another daughter, Hilda and a son, Law Raymond Hemmingsen of Elk Horn.
Preceding her in death are her husband, who died October 7, 1947, her parents, a foster son, four grandsons and six brothers.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, April 15, at the Elk Horn Lutheran church with Pastor C.E. Jensen in charge. Burial was in the Elk Horn cemetery.
