Married Calvin Rutherford White in 1933 in
Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas
Thelma passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007,
at the age of 92. She was born in Ballinger,
TX and moved west after obtaining a teaching
certificate and marrying Calvin White, her
husband of over 50 years. Thelma was a
loving mother of 11 children. Her children:
Verna Schilling, Judith White, Ann Kelly,
and Tim White, love her and miss her dearly.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband,
Calvin; seven of her children: JoAnn, Joevelyn,
Wanda, Bonnie, Carrol, Allen and Janice; and
grandchildren, Robert Harness and David Carnell.
She loved being a wife and mother, and grandmother
of two generations. She enjoyedsinging, gardening,
sewing and making the best homemade pies. She was
a member at Brush Prairie Baptist Church since the
mid 1940's. Her faith and love in Christ was strong
and it was evident in her actions and words. She
encouraged her faith on her children and grandchildren.
She had a loving and kind heart and was loved by
everyone who knew her and will always be missed.
She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Gardens
on Monday, July 30, 2007, 3:00pm.
