Bessie White, 94, died May 5,2008, in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
She was born July 18,1913, in Mississippi County, Ark., daughter of the late Thomas and Julie Mae (Young) King.
She was united in marriage to Orlie Everett White. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1986.
Mrs. White was a homemaker and a member of the Patterson Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Schlater, Patterson, Velma (Ron) Day, Farmington, Vivian (Richard) Mell, Patterson; seven grand children; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Roy King; one sister, Lessie King; two sons-in-law, Tom Strubinger and Don Schlater; two grandsons, Bradley and Rick Mell; one great-granddaughter, Ariel Mell.
The funeral was held May 10 at Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel, Piedmont, with Rev. Jule Maskrod and Dr. James McCullen officiating. Dennis Hovis and Laura Cox gave family reflections. Special music was provided by the Tabernacle Quartet, Glendell Twidwell, Oresta, Atnip, Ron and Cindy Wood and Rita Bridges.
Pallbearers were Randy Mell, Tom Strubinbinger, Jerod Horvath, Andy Horvath, Chad Hovis and Gary Schlater. Burial was in Patterson Cemetery.
