"Rachel Ellen Crane, died Friday, December 26, 1997 in National Institute of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, after a two year illness. She was born June 22, 1966 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Philip M. and Arlene G. Johnson Crane. She had lived in McLean, Virginia and graduated from McLean, Virginia high school. She was baptized at Quentin Road Baptist Church, Wauconda, Illinois.

Surviving are: her parents; six sister, Cathy (David) Hott, Susannah, Jenny, Rebekah, Sarah, and Carrie Crane; a brother, George W. Crane, 5th; three nephews, Joshua, Jacob and Jordan Hott; and two nieces, Jessica and Jennifer Hott. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dr. George W. Crane III and Cora Crane and a twin sister.

Private memorial services will be held at a later time in the Hillsboro United Methodist Church with the Rev. Denny White officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro." - Fountain County Neighbor, December 30, 1997
