FORESTELL, "Bernie" Bernard Lawrence In loving memory of Bernard L. "Bernie" Forestell, 68 years, of Coniston, who passed away Friday morning, September 6th, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Born in Coniston, he married Cecile Gosselin in 1955 in Coniston. A well known and liked Coniston resident, Bernie was a devout Roman Catholic who attended St. Paul the Apostle Parish. He had been a maintenance mechanic at Inco, retiring in 1990 with 34 years service. A man who loved life, he had many interests and commitments which included 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus with Council 6074; an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion RDT Forestell Br 427 Coniston; a past member of the Coniston Volunteer Fire Dept. for 40 years; a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the Canadian Red Cross; member of the Coniston Seniors and Golden Age Club. He was an avid golfer and member of the Twin Stacks Golf Club. Bernie loved nothing more than to meet his buddies at Twin Stacks for a round of golf. In the winter he enjoyed curling with the seniors. He was one of the founders of the Coniston Curling Club. His grandchildren were a great source of pride for "Papa" as his grandchildren fondly called him. Bernie leaves a rich legacy of love, faith and friendship for his devoted family and many friends.

Beloved husband of Cecile Gosselin Forestell of Coniston. Loving father of Suzan Marcon husband Doug Marcon and Joanne Bourr husband Andr Bourr. Cherished Papa of Jason and Shannon Marcon and Samantha Bourr. Dear son of Daniel and Helena Smith Forestell predeceased. Dear brother of Patrick wife Alice of Tottenham, Michael wife Gunda of Lethbridge, Albta. and Teresa husband Burt Hewitson of Prescott and the late James wife Margaret, Francis, Robert, Daniel, Thomas, Ambrose and Rev. Sister Patricia Forestell all predeceased. Dear brother in law of Bertha of Kanata. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Paul the Apostle Church, Coniston on Monday, September 9th, 2002 at 10 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Heart & Soul Campaign would be appreciated. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday; no visitation Monday.
