Flash was an abused dog for a long time. He was taken away from the abuser and given to a man who had just lost his dog. Flash was chained up all the time. I dont believe in chaining a dog but if they have shelter, food and water then its considered okay. I still dont agree with it. I built him a dog house and took him food often. Yes, his owner was feeding him but I love animals and wanted to give him some attention. I would pet him while there to feed him. He loved it. Well a few days went by and I didnt see Flash. I thought the worst then thought maybe he got loose again (which has happened before says his owner, but he always came back).
When I passed by one day I saw his owner and asked, "where's Flash". He said, "Flash was attacked by a stray pitbull". Messed him up pretty bad. Flash was chained so he couldn't go but so far. The owner said Flash passed 3 days later from his injuries. I was hurt and angry at the same time. Flash never bothered anyone, all he ever wanted was attention. His owner did not take him to the vet to make sure he was ok. Don't know if money was an issue or he just didn't know he was hurt. If I had known I would have taken him to the vet to make sure he was ok. Rest In Peace buddy, I will miss you.
