Hunter Jacob Matthew Barnes, 13 months, of Bumpass, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013. He is survived by his mother, Kristina N. Durrett; his father, Dean P. Barnes; a half-brother, Peter Barnes; his maternal grandparents, Hunter Jr. and Donna Durrett; paternal grandmother, Alesia Andre; step grandfather, Jeffrey Rengnerth Sr.; maternal great-grandmother, Kathleen L. Brown; maternal great-grandfather, Art Brown; paternal great-grandmother, Lillian Turner; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Hunter A. "Pap" Durrett Sr. and Eugene B. Benson, Jr.; and a step great-grandfather, Bill Turner. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at County Line Baptist Church, 3461 Ladysmith Rd., Ruther Glen, VA 22546.
