San Francisco, Oct 22 - "I've just killed my wife," said a voice over the telephone to police headquarters today. "You'd better come and get me in a hurry before I kill myself."
At the address given the police found Mrs Alice Currier dead on the kitchen floor. George, her husband, told the police his wife had attacked him in a delirium resulting from typhoid fever, with a knife and pistol, and that he had shot her in self defense. As the woman lay on the floor, the husband asserted she said to him:
"Well, George, you had better finish me," so he shot her again.
Currier formerly was an inmate of the Napa insane asylum.
