Addie Pauline "Polly" Balfour, 91 of the 300 block of W. Brambleton Ave. went to Heaven on September, 26, 2016 in Norfolk. Born in Goldston, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late Paul Elkins and Addie Rieves Elkins.
Mrs. Balfour was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Norfolk. An avid sports fan, Polly loved her Redskins, Red Sox and Tarheels.
She was preceded in death by her husband Francis G. Zoby, her husband Charles "Tommy" Balfour and a son Frank Zoby, Jr. Survivors include her loving daughters; Mary Anne Zoby Knighton and husband Andy, Cathy Zoby Forrest and her husband Bill, Barbara Zoby Galovics and her husband Steve, daughter in law Alison Zoby, five grandchildren; Jeremy Zoby, Matt Horton, Lauren Okes, Natalie Bisciaio, Emily Zoby and two great grandchildren, Jaxon Bisciaio and Mabel Horton.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 29, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Norfolk by Father Matthias Lusembo. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk. The family will receive friends in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments this evening from 6:00 until 7:00p.m. Polly was the love of our lives and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church.
