ERWIN — Tyler Anthony Wilson, age 23, of Erwin, passed away Friday, October 26, 2007, in the Johnson City Medical Center after a brief and unexpected illness.
Born in Johnson City, he is the son of Terry L. and Connie Miller Wilson of Erwin. Tyler graduated from Unicoi County High School in 2003 and had planned on going back to Northeast State in the fall to finish his education. Tyler was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. He had a special fondness for history. Tyler loved to read and listen to 1950's and 1960's music. He was a loving son and brother.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry and Frances Miller.
Besides his parents, Tyler leaves behind his special sister, Ashley Wilson, Erwin; paternal grandparents, Joe and Lorena Wilson, Erwin; aunts and uncles, Lana Foster and her husband, Calvin, Erwin, Nathan Wilson and his wife, Theresa, Knoxville, Alan Miller and his wife, Elaine, Erwin; Cousins, Camille Foster, Atlanta, Melanie Rose, Morganton, NC, Beth Scoonover, Knoxville, Alex Miller, Erwin, Brandon Miller, Erwin, Brandy Miller, Erwin.
Funeral Services for Tyler will be held Sunday, October 28, 2007, at Eight O'clock in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Dr. Alan King and Brother Roger Stocton will be officiating the service. Eulogy will be provided by Danielle Huskins, a special friend. Music will be by his cousin, Beth Scoonover. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service. Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at Two O'clock in Evergreen Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Alex Miller, Tommy Rose, Jonathan Scoonover, Kevin Blevins, Chris Hemphill, Lee Franklin, and Eric Franklin. All those planning on attending the graveside services are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 Monday afternoon to go in procession to the cemetery.
