Early in life, Dorothy earned her degree at Baylor University and later helped move the Decatur Baptist College to Dallas, Texas, where it would become known as Dallas Baptist University. Dorothy then went on to take on the challenges of corporate America, working with Ernst & Whinney and with Jones Day for 20 years. She had three wonderful sons , Mickey Lynn, Jon Stuart, and Jimmy Marc. In her later years, she particularly enjoyed the pursuits of genealogy, service to the Daughters of the American Revolution, and making a warm home for her friends and family.
