Mr. Armstrong, a native of Glynn County, served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the First African Baptist Church on St. Simons Island.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today in the Harrison/Grant Chapel of R.L. Jones & Sons Funeral Home.
Survivors include three sisters, Tami Patterson and Rose Knight, both of Brunswick, and Melinda Carter of Orange, Va.; and three brothers, Maisel Thomas of Jacksonville, Loyrazy Armstrong of Orange and Rodney Abbott of Tampa.
