Age 69, of Ingram, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. He is survived by his wife Linda (Kinser) Backner. Loving father of Nathan (Kris) Backner and Gabrielle Backner (Shoham Zober); proud grandfather of Eva Lynn Zober; caring brother of Nadine (Jim) Pulver and Cheryl (Joe) Popivchak; cherished son of Evelyn Backner and the late Joseph M. Backner. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeff loved autumn, music, building model railroads, telling dad jokes! And striking up conversations with anyone and everyone. He also enjoyed painting and shared his love of art with his granddaughter. Despite the challenges of schizophrenia, he was able to live a fulfilling and joyful life. Jeff loved his family and saw the good in everyone. Friends and Family are welcome to a visitation at St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, 601 Boone Ave. Canonsburg, PA 15317 on Tuesday 9-11AM, where a service will be held at 11AM. Interment to follow in Oakspring Cemetery, Canonsburg, PA.
