Kennie Ray Dye, 59, of Lubbock, was born July 16, 1948, in Espanola, NM. The biggest little man to ever waltz and laugh across Texas.

He is survived by three wonderful kids, William Robert of Tulsa, Okla., Michael Ray of New Deal, and Karrie Lynn of Lubbock; three grandsons and one granddaughter; one brother, Johnny Dye; three sisters: Sharon Wright of Smyer, Sheila Bice of Lubbock, and Sonjia Stroope of Cotton Center; his friends; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by daddy, E.K., momma, Exie, and brother, Gary Wayne, all of Lubbock.

He is in God's hands now, but he will always be big in our hearts. "Happy Trails, Bubba, until we meet again." Rix Funeral Directors is accepting friends and family until noon Friday.

Graveside services are 2 p.m. today, the 26th, in Center Plains Cemetery, on FM 179, 5 miles north of Cotton Center.
