YORK Betty E. (Laughman) Hartman, 75, died at 12:42 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in York. She was the loving wife of Earl F. Hartman, to whom she was married 58 years. The funeral service for Mrs. Hartman will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Irwin Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, with the Rev. Kenneth Cademartori, pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Loganville, officiating. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Betty will be laid to rest in Spring Grove Cemetery. Born March 10, 1932 in York, she was a daughter of the late Charles H., Sr. and Phoebe (Feeser) Laughman. She retired in 1997 from Dentsply International after 15 years of employment. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was well known for her kind and loving manner and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Earl, Betty will be sadly missed by her two sons, Bradley F. Hartman and his wife, Sharon of York and Keith L. Hartman and his wife, Donna of Williamsburg, Va. Betty was a proud and loving grandmother to two grandsons, Kevin Krout of Winterstown and C. Bryan Hartman of Spring Grove; two great grandchildren, Tessa and Avery Henise-Krout of Winterstown; and son-in-law, Jeffrey Krout of Glen Rock. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly A. Krout in 2000; and by one brother and three sisters.
