Albert Lutskas Jr. a long time resident of Moses Lake passed away Sunday February 21, 2016. Albert was born March 23, 1928 in Shenandoah, PA, to Albert Sr. and Anna Lutskas. Albert and his sister Leona grew up in Shenandoah, PA, where he went to school and was an altar boy. In 1947, he joined the Airforce and was stationed for two years in Honolulu, HI. He then transferred to the Larsen Airforce Base in Moses Lake, WA. Here he met widower Ruth Watson and her young family of five, whom he married in 1951. In 1954, they created a blended family when their son Robert A. Lutskas was born. Albert and Ruth were blessed with 25+ grandkids and 20+ great grandkids. Together they shared 45 years, spending time with friends and family until the Lord called her home.
Albert worked as a mechanic and retired from the Moses Lake School district. He enjoyed life, always having a smile on his face or whistling a tune. He was an active member in league bowling as well as the Elks lodge. Albert also enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and fishing.
In Albert's later years an established friendship he had, blossomed into a loving relationship. Albert married his best friend, Beverly Berreth. Together they enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and even a little quiet time at the cabin.
Survivors include; his wife Beverly Lutskas, sister Leona Kruger, his son Robert and Debbie Lutskas, his blended family Cindy and Don Hicks, Joan and Tim Varney, Jennifer and John Musa, Marvin Watson, Marlene Watson, Dick and Trudy Watson, and 30+ grandchildren and 35+ great grandchildren.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents Albert Sr. and Anna Lutskas, Ruth Watson, Eulis Watson, Shirley Rorick, Patsy (Hofstetter) Steiner, Curtis Hofstetter, Angela (Watson) Russell.
