Dirck married Catharina Conyn on June 28, 1743 in Kinderhook, NY. They were the parents of five children. According to Runk (1897), he was "an unyielding patriot of the Revolution, and several times represented the Manor of Livingston in the Provincial Assembly." The Bouwerie became his property and he built a new brick house on the property in 1762. He died at this home after 1796 and was buried in the family plot nearby.
