Nancy Ann Sasek, 95, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 14, 2021 in her home with her family by her side.

She was born September 5, 1925 in Canonsburg, a daughter of Albert and Ida Holmes Hyson.

Nancy graduated from Chartiers High School. Following her graduation, she worked in the office of Kaufmann’s in Pittsburgh and then became a secretary for the FBI in Washington D.C.

She was a 77 year member of the Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Sasek was a member of the North Strabane Democratic League and the City Bowling League.

On July 21, 1945, she married Charles M. Sasek who died January 9, 1999.

Surviving are two sons, Drew Sasek and his wife Linda of Canonsburg and Kirk Sasek (the late Carolyn) of Erie; a daughter, Peggy Adams and her husband David Vanhorenbeck of McDonald; four grandchildren, Jeff Sasek (Jennifer), Ericka Santos (Joe), Ryan Sasek and Jennifer Adams; five great grandchildren, Wyatt, Ethan and Travis Sasek and Dominick and Matthew Santos; a sister, Violet Ghrist of McKeesport and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a granddaughter, Kellie Lynne Sasek; four sisters, Eva Schimansky, Marion Capozi, Alice Szpak and Dolores Zimak; and four brothers, John, Mike Richard and Charles Hyson.

Due to present circumstances, services will be private for the family.

Arrangements entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
