Viola H. Adair, 85, of Gwinn, died Saturday morning, January 30, 2021 at Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee.

She was born November 16, 1935, in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late Edward and Helen Kallos Setzke. She was raised in Detroit and attended Detroit Schools.

She married Douglas Adair on March 26, 1957 in Petoskey and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1998.

Viola enjoyed archery and was a member of Buckskin Bowmen and Straight Line Archery. She had a love for animals, especially dogs and operated Sandy Acres Kennel. Other interests include puzzles, crochet, cross-stitch and geneology.

She is survived by three children, Michael Adair of Manitowoc, WI, Margaret "Peggy" (Carl) Aho of Gwinn and Marcia "Marci" Zogg of Champion; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Chris) LaJoie, Ashley (Jacob) Perry, Douglas Adair, Beverly (Steve Mager) Aho, Carl (Tessa Braley) Aho III, Jack Douglas (Kimberly Warlin) Zogg and Jennifer (Eric) Gonyier; 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Edward Setzke of Madison, VA; and special daughter-in-law, Jackie Mitchell (Bolwerk).

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 5 pm at Canale-Gwinn Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
