Andrew J. Shaffer, 93, of Canonsburg, died Friday, January 15, 2021, in his home, in the presence of his family. He was born September 19, 1927, in Smock, a son of George and Mary Thomas-Shaffer.

Mr. Shaffer proudly served his country in the United States Army-Air Force.
Prior to his retirement, he had a long career as an Electronics Technician Leader at RCA.
He enjoyed oil painting, wood carving, family history, archery, and gardening.

Surviving are his daughters, Phyllis (Michael) Balaschak, of Whitehall, Brenda "Tiny" (Vincent E.) Celento, of Eighty-Four; brother, Thomas Shaffer, of Houston; sister, Dorothy Seese, of Upper Middletown; grandchildren, Danyelle (Andrew) Burilla, Justin (Amy) Celento, and Brad (Hadar Glazer) Celento; 9 great-grandchildren, Vinny, Rylin, Jamie, Justin Jr., Jayden, Jace, Toby, Ella, and Cooper; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Olive Shaffer, who died November 26, 2003; his brothers, John, Frank, James, Charles, and Walter Shaffer.

Due to uncertainties associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public visitation and services are private. Arrangements are private and entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
