YORK—Franklin W. Arnold Jr., 73, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Linda Sue (Markley) Arnold to whom he was married for 36 years.

A public Graveside Service will be held 2PM on Thursday January 7, 2021 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd, York with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating the service will be Rev. Ronald Knopp. Family request all attendees wear a mask and adhere to suggested social distancing regulations. Mr. Arnold's graveside service will also be livestreamed on the Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc Facebook page at www.facebook.com/heffnertributes/live for anyone unable to attended in person. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements.

Born February 2, 1947 in York, he was a son of the late Franklin W. Arnold Sr., and Emma L. (Silk) Arnold. He was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School—1966. A United State Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam War, he served from 1966-1978.

He was employed with BAE for 22 years as a master machinist and later worked with Precisions Components, Datum Filing Systems and part time with Infinito's Pizza Buffet.
A member of the First Capital Marine Corps League, he was part of the Drum and Bugle Corps. He was also an avid bowler at both Colony Park Lanes and Suburban Bowlerama for many years and coached youth football.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Arnold is survived by two sons, Shane M.L. Arnold of York and David R. Arnold of York; 2 nieces, 1 nephew and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Family requests no flowers, In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172.
