Dorothy L. Coen, 71, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 27, 2020 with her family at her side.

She was born May 20, 1949 in Venice, a daughter of Clair and Vesta Grace Strawn Scott.

Mrs. Coen had worked as a supervisor at Intertec in Washington and as a nurse’s aid at Rest Haven in Canonsburg before her retirement.

Her memberships included the Eagles and VFW Post 2026 both in Canonsburg.

Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, going to the Casino and she was an avid cook, often cooking for fellow residents and neighbors.

Most important was the time she spent with her family.

Surviving are three daughters, D. Marie Saieva (James Jr.) of Houston and Tammy Lowe (C. Timothy) and Tina Sroka (Robert P. Nestor) both of Canonsburg; a son, Timothy Sroka of Canonsburg; six grandchildren, Jocelyn Bock (Nikki Stevens), Brandyn Bock, Vincenzo “Jimmy” and Hunter Saieva, Alaina Zgorzeliski and Dylan Nestor; a sister, Mary O’Bosky of Houston; three brothers, Gene Scott of Canonsburg, Garey Scott (Linda) of Eighty Four and Richard Scott of Meadville; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her husband and companion of 25 years, Clyde Coen; a grandson, Calvin T. Lowe; two sisters, Betty Jean Campise and Clara Lee Scott; and a brother, Raymond Scott.

All services will be private.
