Operated Sloan's Cottonwood Resort at Indian Lake,Logan Co., OH. with his mother (Nellie Sloan).
Sit in for the drummer's during practice with all of the big name bands of the 1930's at Russells Point, Logan Co., Oh. Then when it came to play that evening the drummer was usually to drunk, so they would have him play with the band when they performed that evening.


WW II veteran. Graduated from Drake University (Geographer), Des Moines, IA. 27 Jan 1950 BA Drake University, Ft Des Moines, Polk Co., IA.
Played drums in the marching band.

Also attended Ohio Sate University before going to Drake, Was the first drummer to dot the I in script Ohio that band made at football games.

Worked for US Army Map Service, MD. (1950 -1957)
Lived in Viers Mill Village, Silver Spring, Montgomery Co., MD and the moved across the road to Connecticut Avenue Estates.
Worked as a salesman for Anchor Fence Co., Wheaton, Montgomery Co., MD 1958-1959.

Owned and operated Logan Co. Fence Company from 1959 -1963 in Bellefontaine, Logan Co., Ohio
