Debra Eileen Stanley left this earthly plane on December 16, 2020. She was born on May 6, 1960 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Debra was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Eileen Black, and brother Robert Black. She is survived by her children. She is also survived by her sister; Janine (Kristen) Chesak-Black, of Kalamazoo, brothers; Jeffrey Black of Battle Creek, and James Black of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Deb was the 4th child out of 5, and because of a gap between the first 3 and she and her younger brother Jeff, the two of them were referred to in childhood as "the little ones."
Deb was the manager of Oakhill Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan prior to her retirement. She fought a long and hard battle with Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare gallbladder cancer. She braved three years of undergoing multiple procedures, surgeries, and chemo.
