POCATELLO – Dr. Pawel ‘Paul' Andrzej Aberszewski, 37, died on Sunday June 24, 2007 in a kayaking accident in Wolverine Canyon of the Blackfoot River.
Paul was born on May 14, 1970 in Warsaw, Poland to Andrzej and Teresa Abraszewski. He was raised in Poland and attended schools through college in Warsaw.
He came to the United States in 1991, where he began medical school. He attended Creighton University Medical School, graduating cum laude in 1996. After graduation he was accepted for residency in Internal Medicine at Yale University after which he completed his Cardiology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He joined the Pocatello Cardiology Associates in 2004.
In 2003, after a seven year romance, he married Lee Ann Roberts Foster. Pocatello was the perfect fit for Paul and Lee both personally and professionally. Paul's warmth and humanity came through in his dealings with staff, colleagues, and patients.
Paul reveled in the outdoors. He loved the wilderness, mountains and rivers of Idaho. He excelled in mountain biking, kayaking, backpacking, horseback riding, and most of all he loved to ski. Paul lived every day and every moment to the fullest and inspired those around him to do the same.
He is survived by; his wife, Lee Ann Abraszewski, Pocatello; father, Andrzej Abraszewski, Warsaw, Poland/New York, NY; and mother, Teresa Abraszewska, Warsaw, Poland.
He was preceded in death by Grandparents Zagorski and Grandparents Abraszewski.
