James Robert "Bob" McClure, 89, a life-long resident of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2020.

Bob was born on October 18th, 1931, in Altoona, PA. He was the son of the late Ella Mae (Stout) and Paul Richard McClure.

Bob was committed to serving any community that crossed his path. He was extremely supportive of his families' academic, athletic, and artistic accomplishments.

Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was also the proud Senior Vice Commander of the American Legion Post 924 of West Hills, PA. He was a former Boy Scout leader and Army Band and Big Band member. Robert was a proud and involved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his spouse, M. Margaret McClure, and his four daughters Terri (Keith) Mattheessen of Richmond, TX, Mary Beth (Pete) Loncar of Aliquippa, PA, Susan Melendez of Alexandria, VA, and Robin (Robert) Smith of Wheeling, WV. Bob is also survived by his 14 grandchildren: Kristi, Megan, Rees, and Ian Mattheessen; Demetri, Mirko, and Eli Loncar; Jocelyn and Sophia Melendez; and Jordyn, Mackenzie, Mason, Peyton, and Monti Smith. Robert was also a great-grandfather to Connor, Nevaeh, Jaelyn, Mariela, Nyeli, Addison, and Dakoda Mattheessen.

Due to COVID 19, all services will be private.

Bob will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
