NOAH SHOWALTER
Showalter, Elder Noah, of Illinois, was born in Virginia, September 25,
1826, and died February 19, 1906, in his seventy-ninth year of age. He
unit-ed with the Primitive Baptists about the year 1854, was ordained deacon
four years later and in 1862 was set apart for the work of the gospel
min-istry. All this was done by the Little Rock Church, Cass County, Ill.,
and soon afterwards Elder Showalter moved to Iowa and later to Kansas. Later
he settled in Moscow, Idaho, and had the care of churches most of his
ministerial life and was loved by those among whom he labored.
