Annette Marie Wojciehowski, 64, of Mancelona, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was born on October 22, 1956 in Ferndale, MI, the daughter of Frank and Irene (Cooper) Stanton. Annette graduated from Warren Woods High School, and shortly thereafter enlisted in the United States Army.
Her passions were cooking and genealogy. Annette would spend hours to days preparing lavish meals for her friends and family. Making sure there was something for everyone. Then in the early 2000's, she began her expedition into the world of genealogy. Doing the family research of both her and her husband's families. Annette even, on occasion volunteered her time to help others who were just starting their genealogy journeys.
Annette was always one to take care of others. She made a special connection with everyone she met, and she always saw the good in people. She took excellent care of her family in every way she possibly could. She worked at Mancelona Public Schools where she advocated for children with disabilities. Annette was also a Boy Scout Troop Leader in Mancelona for many years. She enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, and she was an extremely talented and detailed artist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Susan Giulianelli; and her brother, Michael Stanton.
Services are to be held and announced by the family at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
Arrangements are in the care of the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Please sign her online guestbook at www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com
