Lennart Ringquist, 86, entertainment executive, thoroughbred owner/breeder and beloved father, passed January 20, 2017 of natural causes. Throughout his distinguished career Ringquist worked with WBZ-TV (Boston), NBC, Samuel Goldwyn Productions, General Artists/Creative Management Associates, ABC, Metromedia, Disney, John Blair and Company, and Four Star International.

Ringquist is survived by his wife since 1993, former actress/model May Britt Ringquist; daughter, Lynne Ralston; sons, Kurt and Jon Ringquist; grandchildren, Alexander, Emmeline and Jon II; sisters, Harriet Barlow and Carolyn Maloney; stepchildren, Tracey, Mark and Jeff Davis; and step-grandchildren, Emily, Sam, Montana, Andrew, Ryan, Greer, and Chase. Ringquist was married a few years in the 1970s to sportswoman Penny Chenery, who bred and owned thoroughbred Secretariat, the 1973 winner of the Triple Crown. Miss Chenery, who divorced Ringquist in 1980, and died eight months after Lennart Ringquist in September 2017.
