He was born April 7, 1922 in Brookville to the late George W. and May (Shank) Moler.
Marion is survived by his wife Esther Jane (Hudelson) Moler, whom he married March 15, 1975, nephew Bruce Bowman of Camarillo, CA, niece Melissa (Jerry) Martin of Mt. Pleasant, SC, niece Sue Welbaum of Troy, nephew Gary Welbaum of Troy, niece Barbara (Jim) Kussman of Troy, grandniece Allison (Brett) Stover of Tipp City, and other relatives and many friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Mildred Elleman.
Marion was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of Brookville Lutheran Church. He was a graduate of Brookville High School and the Cincinnati College of Embalming. Marion previously worked with the former Irvin Funeral Home in Troy and later with Hobart Manufacturing in Troy and Whirlpool Corporation, from which he retired after over 50 years of service. He enjoyed working outside and fishing. Marion was a 69-year member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Troy Elks #833. He was also a member of the American Legion in Brookville and Spring Run Farm Trout Club in Fairborn.
A funeral service will be held 11AM Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Visitation will be 5-8PM Tuesday, September 5 at the funeral home with an Elks Lodge of Sorrow Service at 7PM. Interment will be in Parrish Cemetery, Brookville with Military Honors by the Veteran’s Memorial Honor Guard of Troy.
