SPRINGFIELD - Alberta M. Harvey, 86, of Springfield died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, in the intensive care unit at St. John's Hospital.

She was born Oct. 12, 1920, in Springfield, the daughter of Carl Raymond and Lois Adele Wood Gillock. She married George Hermes in 1943; he died in 1967. She married Thomas Harvey in 1970; he died in 1986.

Mrs. Harvey was a licensed practical nurse at hospitals and nursing homes, retiring after 34 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 437 and a life member of VFW Post 755 Auxiliary.

Survivors: two daughters, Jean (husband, Guy) Jones of Centralia and Janice (husband, Carlo) Catalano of Springfield; two sons, John (wife, Gloria) Hermes of Sherman and Chuck (wife, Becky) Hermes of Dawson; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sister, Sarah Elizabeth Hart of Springfield; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Calvary Cemetery, the Rev. Peter Harman officiating.
