Peter was born in Benagh, Carlingford, County Louth, Ireland to Patrick Rice and Anne Dawe. A baptismal record was found at Lourdship parish in Louth for Jun 4, 1863. He immigrated to the United States in the mid 1880's and settled in Leicester, MA. Only one of his brothers also came to the U.S. and to Worcester, MA. (Michael J. Rice, findagrave Id # 27380312). On Dec. 28, 1898, he married Mary Ann Trainor in Leicester, MA. They made their home in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester and in Worcester, MA. and had 8 children: Mary V., Martha M., Walter J., Joseph V., Anne E., Peter R., George A. and John F. Rice. Death records state Peter was 63 yrs. and died of Cardiovascular renal disease and Coronary Thrombosis.

Residence- 158 Beacon St., Worcester, MA
Employed by the Worcester Gas Light Co. for several years.
Member of St. Peter's Church.
