Eleanor was born Eleanora Seskavech, a twin daughter born to Lithuania born parents Peter Seskavech (changed to Savage originally from Szicszkicwiczus ) and Mary Juozenas (changed to Jones and originally found spelled Juzinnas). Eleanor grew up in Worcester and Auburn area of Massachusetts. She married George A. Rice in a civil ceremony on Aug. 3, 1947 in Worcester, MA. and the marriage was solemized on Nov. 22, 1947 in Sacred Heart Church, Worcester, MA. "Nora" and George made their home in Boylston, MA. and had 3 children. "Nora" was often known as the "hat lady" in Boylston because she was known to make or decorate a different hat to wear to church each week. "Nora" died at age 70 yrs.
