OBITUARY: JEFFERS, FLOYD -1914-2002 - 87, of Huntsville, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2002 at Scott County Hospital in Oneida. He was the son of the late OLIVER JEFFERS and the late LINDA LLOYD JEFFERS and was a World War II Veteran and a member of the Norma Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, CHARLES KENNETH JEFFERS; and three brothers, VIRGIL JEFFERS, CLOVIS JEFFERS, and EARL JEFFERS. Survivors include his wife, CLORIS HUTSON JEFFERS of Norma; four children, J.T. JEFFERS of South Bend, Ind., and MARY ETTA DOUGHMAN and husband FRED, DONALD RAY JEFFERS and wife ROSE, and ROLAND JEFFERS, all of Norma; two brothers, WALTER JEFFERS and wife JOYCE of Spring City, and CLAUDE JEFFERS and wife WILMA of Norma; one sister, MAGGIE NEWPORT and husband ELZO of Spring City; one sister-in-law, MAXINE JEFFERS of Montgomery, Ala.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 16, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville, with Dr. GLENN LANGER officiating. Special music was provided by the Mason Family. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 17, at Norma Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were SHANE HATFIELD, RODNEY HATFIELD, DANIEL JEFFERS, DENNIS JEFFERS, DANNY JEFFERS, DANNY HARNESS, FRED DOUGHMAN, AARON JEFFERS, and J.V JEFFERS. Four Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
