Mr. Herman E. Adcock, age 92, of 610-A HWY 158-W, Rougemont, NC died Thursday, August 5, 1999 at Granville Medical Center.
Mr. Adcock was a native of Granville County and the son of the late Burgess B. and Lessie Sherman Adcock, a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a retired Tobacco Farmer & Tobacco Warehouseman and a member of the Woodsman of the World.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 1999 from Mt. Zion Baptist Church, by the Rev. Keith Williams, burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Willie Carver Adcock; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Wayne G. Adcock of Rougemont, NC; one grandson, Ronald W. Adcock & wife Christy of Rougemont, NC.; one granddaughter, Lisa A. Buie & husband Bart & great-grandchildren, Crin & Reagan Buie, all of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Visitation for the family will be Friday, August 6, 1999 at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Funeral Home in Oxford from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of Mrs. Clessie G. Adcock, 580 HWY 158-W, Rougemont, NC.
