Grace Guidry Landry, fondly known as "Meme" was married to Edmond Naquin Landry and had three children: Edmond Landry, Jr., Delphia Landry Vincent, and Harold Landry. Only Delphia is still alive. She also left behind many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Landry sewed the altar clothes for St. Louis Cathedral Church many many years ago and was an excellent seamstress who later in life made "mammies" as toaster covers and sold these. She was born in the bayou country and moved to New Orleans and spent her entire adult life in the French Quarter. She and Mr. Landry ran a French movie theatre and L'Union Francaise school on North Rampart Street, which burned in early 1954, but the family continued to live on the property in the cottage in the back. The property is now a hotel in the 900 block of N. Rampart Street in New Orleans.
