Donna Marie Goodwin, "Dee Dee", as she was fondly known, was born on September 28, 1956 in Newark, NJ. She was lovingly raised by Myrtle and John Henry Goodwin. On July 6, 1996, surrounded by family and friends, Dee Dee went home to be with the Lord.

She received her primary education from Samuel K. Faust Elementary School, completing her education from Bensalem High School. Dee Dee also attended Phila. College of Art and Wilfred Beauty Academy. Her religious guidance began at an early age through Sunday School at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Methodist Youth Fellowship, Youth Choir, Crown and Glory Gospel Choir, and St. Matthew Mass Choir. Dee Dee was also coordinator of the Singles Ministry and Christian Sounds of Youth Parent Group and taught Bible School.

For the past 10 years she was employed by SPIN in Philly as a Habilitation Instructor. Dee Dee spent her entire career, from early adulthood taking care of others.

Dee Dee was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a devoted mother not only to her children, but to all who crossed her path. Always generous and giving; keeping her door open to lend a near or offer a meal, Dee Dee was high spirited and loved life. She was blessed with a gift of bringing a whole community together as a family; promoting peace, harmony, and laughter. Dee Dee made a friend out of everybody and was loved by all who know her. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
