Obituary for Jonathan "Jon" Drew Vaughn

Jonathan "Jon" Drew Vaughn, age 61, of Golconda, Illinois passed away at home.

He was born to the late Ross and Marilyn (McNeal) Vaughn in Michigan on January 25, 1959. He grew up on a farm in Pope County where he learned a strong work ethic. Jon is a member of Golconda Masonic Lodge #131 AF & AM. His children describe him as compassionate, determined, strong, kind hearted and having an unforgettable laugh. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed to hunt and fish. Jon was very talented at wood working, drawing and playing guitar. He had a passion for cooking to bring friends and family together. Most of all he loved his family and was a wonderful Grampy.

He is survived by five children, four grandchildren, six siblings, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm on Saturday July 11, 2020 at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, Illinois. A 1:00 pm graveside service will follow visitation at Old Grand Pier Cemetery.
