Mr. Simon was born in York County, the son of the late Chanceford and Bessie Wales Simon.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Ayres Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by seven children, Brantley E. Simon Jr., of Wrightsville, Pa., Patricia McAllister of New Park, Pa., Louise Douglas of Elkton, Roger Simon of Jarrettsville, Minnette Klunk of Aberdeen, June Hill of Brodbecks, Pa., and Esther Ferren of White Hall; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Miller of Airville, Pa., and a brother, Lester Simon of New Providence, Pa.
Funeral services were held at Ayres Chapel United Methodist Church.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Services were under the direction of the Hartenstein-Orsburn Funeral Home, 19 S. Main Street, Stewartstown, Pa. with the Rev. Ruth Ann Miller officiating.
