Laura and her sister Shirley were adopted by Samuel and Lana King (#80837499). Laura's biological parentage is uncertain. I show her father as Samuel King for reference. Research by Ray Vick* suggests her birth mother was Helen Louise Peters although her birth father remains a mystery. Her own written comments state she was the granddaughter of Mabel Peters nee Resler (80842467) and called Mabel's mother, Jennie Resler (81110710) her great grandmother. Another connection to the Peters is her son in law Michael who is mentioned in her obit appears to have been the son of Helen's sister Dorothy Melba Brees nee Peters.
