Graveside services for Audrey Abshier, 86, of Lufkin will be held Monday, September 18, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the Fair Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Page officiating. Audrey was born October 7, 1920, in Liberty, Texas, to Josephine (Brown) and Walter Abshier. She resided in Beaumont, Texas most of her life, transferring to Dallas in 1969. In 1983, she moved to Lufkin where she passed away on September 15, 2006. Audrey graduated from Liberty High School in 1937 and attended North Texas State University. She was employed by Sun Oil Company for 38 years, retiring in 1982. Survivors include her sister and brother -in-law, Jo Ann and Johnie Stewart of Lufkin; sister, Eloise Miller of Winnie; niece, Carolyn Bass of Winnie; nephew, Brooks Miller and wife Diane of Liberty; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
