Barbara A. Roop

Barbara A. Roop, 47, died July 5, 2007, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
She was born in Lima to Richard and Joyce Roop, who survive.
Ms. Roop owned a photography business, Studio Twelve. She had lived in Columbus since 1990. She was a graduate of The Ohio State University. She was the president and right wing of the Columbus Destroyers Bandits women's professional hockey team. She fought ovarian cancer in 2005. She leaves behind a mountain of friends and a river of tears. She will be especially missed by her boxer dog and loving companion, Murphy.
Survivors also include a sister, Debbie Roop; two nephews, Logan and Ronnie; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and a multitude of dear friends.
A celebration of life service will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes-Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N. High St., Columbus.
Friends may visit two hours prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Central Ohio Chapter, 4719 Reed Road 150, Columbus, OH 43220, or to The Heart of Ohio Boxer Reserve, 5049 Babbit Road, New Albany, OH 43054.
