Suzanne Yost, 69, of Sipapu passed away Sept. 2, 2001. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Ed Yost; her sister: Maureen Hamilton of Atascadero, CA and many loving relatives and friends across the country. Suzanne was born to Cashel and Evelyn Robinson on June 17, 1932 in Los Angeles. She grew up in Southern California and enrolled at Mills College. She then attended University of Southern California where she was a Gamma Phi Beta, graduating in 1955 with a degree in Fine Arts. She was secretary for a law firm in Newport Beach, CA. She studied in her spare time and with support from friends and co-workers, passed the State Bar Exam on her first try. She practiced law at a time when female attorneys were a rarity. She was a member of the California State Bar ever since. Suzanne's life with her husband, a pioneer in the field of aviation and ballooning, was filled with adventure. They traveled the world and were entertained by countless dignitaries and celebrities. Suzanne brought excellence and style to everything she did. She enjoyed knitting and dewing, creating beautiful sweaters and clothes. She also loved cooking and entertaining. She has a lifelong love of animals, especially her Springer Spaniels. Suzanne Yost was a true original; classy, intelligent, funny and creative. Those who knew and loved her will cherish her memory forever. Arrangements by Rivers-Hanlon Funeral Home.
