Bio above and especially below, created by Elaine H. and Bob "Cookie" VanDuren, Monday, 14Sep2020, and modified 19Sep2020.
My wife and I were friends with Scotty for over 30 years. We had not seen each other for a while, due to our own ill health and lack of transportation.

MORE BIO:
I first met Scotty when I was the Single Sunday School teacher at Calvary Baptist Church when the church was on Riverside Ave. He was one of my students and another was Elaine H Stephenson. She later became my beautiful wife on January 29, 1994, marriage ceremony was also at Calvary. The other students were Brenda Dunford, Cliff Bennet, Bill Caudwell, Gilbert Spitzer (who passed away a few years ago). The pastor was Chip Robertson, also since passed away.

My life is so much better, richer, because of my friendship with Scotty. He was also an avid bowler, and pocket billards, and helped me improve both these games. He also introduced me to Pizza Inn restaurant (which years ago was next door to the Elizabeth City Bowling Alley). Scotty was also an expert at cross stitch. And was a student at College of the Albemarle. He had an infectious smile and laugh.

Scotty, I will always remember our fun trip together, when we went to the North Carolina State Fair in Raleigh in the 1980s.
Most Appreciatively to you buddy, Bob "Cookie" VanDuren
