Mrs. Jones, 76 years old, died Thursday at the Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
She was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Dover, Ark., the daughter of Alex and Lucy Clayton Partain.
She and Earl R. Jones were married Dec. 2, 1933, in Dover, Ark.
She was a retired cook for the New Madrid Schools, where she worked 16 years. She was a member of the Canalou Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Dale Jones; three daughters, Eva Jones, Sue Malloy and Ruth Sanders; a brother, Clayton Partain; three sisters, Rosie Murphy, Iva Ragsdale and Ruby Harris; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, granddaughter and two sisters.
