EDINBURGH – Carrie Cowan, 64, of 818 S. Holland, died Monday night at Bartholomew County Hospital.
She was the widow of Leo Cowan who died last December. She had been an employee of Amos Thompson Corp., David R. Webb Co., and Camp Atterbury.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Mike Whited at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church. Calling hours will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh and burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery there.
Mrs. Cowan was born April 2, 1921, in Knifely, Ky., the daughter of John Thomas and Ella Hadley Hancock. She was a member of Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Frances Allison of Edinburgh, Jewell Langford of 3839 Colonial in Columbus, Pauline Richardson of Indianapolis, Linda Lain of Hope and Faye Cowan of Taylorsville; a brother, James Hancock of Edinburgh, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
