(This is a memorial for Charity as the exact location of her grave is unknown. The memorial for her husband Henry Harless is in this cemetery and that is why her findagrave.com memorial is placed here).
Charity was the wife of Henry Harless. They were married about 1770, probably in Montgomery County, Virginia. Her maiden name is believed to be Heavener, however, some think it was Anders. It is most likely that she died, perhaps about 1809 in Anderson County, Tennessee. Shortly thereafter Henry moved to Alabama about 1810 and is said to have married again. Henry's "Will" written in 1815 doesn't mention Charity and many believe that after Charity died Henry married Elizabeth Province and that she is the "wife" mentioned in Henry's "Will". Charity and Henry had many children and most are mentioned in his "Will".
Note: Birth, death, & marriage dates may differ depending on source.
