James Michael "Mike" Ray, 16, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007.

Mike was born in Horse Cave, and was a sophomore at Barren County High School.

He is survived by his mother Teresa Ray and her fiancé, Allen Slinker, of Glasgow; his father, Steve Ray of Park City; a sister, Shelby Ray of Glasgow; maternal grandparents, Nick and Marilyn Nixon of Knob Lick; paternal grandmother, Ruby Ray of Park City; his maternal great-grandparents, Harrison and Jean Weaver of Brillion, Wis.; uncles, Chip Nixon and fiancée, Petra Strauss, of Michigan; Jim Nixon and fiancée, Angela Willoughby, of North Carolina, Leroy Ray and wife, Ellen, of Indiana, and Kenneth Ray and wife Melanie of Park City; aunts, Brenda Ray of Park City and Linda Adwell and husband Harold of Glasgow. Several other friends and relatives also survive.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Ray and his maternal great-grandmother Louise Nixon.

Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Park City.
