Josephine O. Allen
Josephine Olive Allen, 88, of Bloomington, died Sunday at Bloomington Convalescent Center.
Born Sept. 29, 1902, in Brown County, she was the daughter of Albert and Lourene (Lanam) Brummett. She had worked for Indiana Bell, RCA Consumer electronics and Smith Bookbindery. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include one son, John E. Allen of Bloomington; one daughter of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Allen; one sister, Kathleen Brummett; and four brothers, Chester Brummett, Earl Brummett, Howard Brummett and Paul Brummett.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Day Mortuary with the Rev. James Hicks officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Friends may call 3-9 p.m. today and from noon until services Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene.

Brown County native Josephine Olive Allen died Sunday, March 24, 1991, at the Bloomington Convalescent Center.
She was 88 and a resident of Bloomington.
She was born September 29, 1902, in Brown County to Albert and Lourena Lanam Brummett.
A member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Mrs. Allen had worked at Indiana Bell Telephone, Smith Bookbindery and RCA Consumer Electronics, all in Bloomington.
Survivors include a son, John Edward, of Bloomington; a daughter of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The Reverend James Hicks conducted a service Wednesday, March 27, at the Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington. Burial was in that city’s Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the First Nazarene Church.
