Andrea Ann “Andy” Colvin Strange, 86, of Strong, AR passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Hudson Nursing Home in El Dorado, AR.
Andy was born January 13, 1934 in Shreveport, LA to the late Andrew Feaster and Floss (Barfoot) Colvin. She was a graduate of the Dubach High School and a graduate of the Meadows - Drone Business School in 1950. She worked at the First National Bank for 6 years and the Department of Human Services as a case worker for 23 years in Magnolia.
Andy was a longtime faithful member of over 50 years of the First Baptist Church of Emerson, AR where she served as pianist. She volunteered for many years at the Adult Education Center and the Women’s Crisis Center in Camden, AR.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband William Ronald Strange; daughter Kathy Nations Wood, and son in law Milas “Bubba” Medlin. Andy is survived by her daughter Paula Nations Medlin of Strong; son in law David Wood of El Dorado; sister in law Joyce Thompson of Emerson; five grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Emerson Presbyterian Cemetery with Bro. Dale Fish officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation will be Thursday, September 3 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
